Ysgol Y Deri PTA registered charity has been transforming lives since 2008
Providing vital support to a wide and diverse range of children with additional needs that attend Ysgol Y Deri the UK’s largest special school.
Our biggest aim as a charity is to sit at the heart of our Special School Community whilst raising much needed funds to make a difference to our children’s lives.
We take pride in being different from other charities and strive to support the needs of our unique school, breaking down stigmas associated with disability and giving the pupils a voice. We are devoted to providing a caring and equitable body that delivers meaningful and inclusive opportunities for each and every pupil and the school environment. Our objective is to raise funds for much needed equipment, therapies, activities and help create memories within the school that is not provided by statutory funds.

Thanks to our great community, we are really proud that we have funded ‘Wishlists’ for each class across the whole school, consisting of toys, equipment and experiences.
We have also funded specially adapted minibuses to ensure that all of our children can access trips. We have funded items such as playground equipment, adapted bikes, Drumkits, iPads and caravans.
